Features:

How to Play

Grind Domino is based on the rules and scoring of 'All Fives' aka 'Muggins'. Each player draws 7 dominoes from the Boneyard. The objective of the game is to be the first player to play all of their dominoes to the playfield. Points are awarded for scores that add up to 5. For example the Double 5 domino played on an empty table would give the player 10 points. First player to 150 points wins the game.

Points are also scored when a player goes out, i.e. clears their entire stack, and the score points difference of the opponents remaining dominoes.

If a player is unable to play, then they must continue to draw from the Boneyard until they get a playable domino.

The ultimate objective of Dominoes is to be the best player in the neighborhood. As opponents are defeated, new players will come to the table to challenge the player. Each opponent will have an increasing amount of cash to wager against the player.

Play smart, play fast, watch your opponent's play style and taunts and do whatever you can to avoid the Boneyard!

Q: How do I 'unselect' a Domino, in case I want to play a different one from my hand?

A: Pressing the Ok button will 'unselect' and allow you to scroll through your hand again.

Gameplay

Q: How do I score points?

A: Anytime the domino chain on the table adds up to a multiple of 5, you receive that amount of points. If you play a 5-5 (10 dots) on a blank table, you would score 10 points.  Whenever the ends of ALL the chains (East, West, North, South) add up to a multiple of 5, you score points.

Q: How many points do I score at each opportunity?

A: You score the amount of points that the chain ends add up to. For example if there was the following chain 4-1 to 3-6 the end of the chain adds up to 10 (4+6) and you would receive 10 points.

Q: What happens to the domino's that are left in my hand if my opponent Domino's?

A: All remaining domino's in your hand when your opponent domino's are added up and rounded up or down to multiples of 5 and added to their score. If you domino, you earn the remaining points in your opponents hand. It's a good idea to Domino.

Q: What is the Spinner?

A: The Spinner is the first double domino played (6-6, 5-5, 4-4, 3-3, 2-2, 1-1 or 0-0). Only off the Spinner can the chain go left, right, up or down.

Q: Who plays the first Domino to start a game?

A: At the initial start of a game, the player with the highest double starts the play. This is the only domino that can be played. If neither player has a double, then the highest point value will be played.

Q: How many points 'wins' the game?

A: 150 points scored total will win the game.

Q: What happens if I don't have a domino in my hand that can be played on the chain?

A: You have to DRAW (down key) from the Boneyard. You must continue to draw until you get a domino that you can play.

Q: What if there are no available domino's in the Boneyard?

A: Then you must 'Knock'. This is 'passing' your turn to your opponent.

Q: What happens if both players have to knock?

A: Then the game is declared a draw, and whomever has more points left in their hand is the loser and the winning player adds those points to their score.

Q: What if neither player can play on the chain, and there are no domino's left in the Boneyard?

A: The game is then called a 'draw'. The winner, will be the player with the lowest point value of the remaining dominos left in their hand. The winner will be awarded the point value of the domino's remaining in the losing player's hand.

Hand to Hand

Q: What's this Hand-to-Hand option?

A: Hand to Hand allows 2 people to play a game of Grind Street Domino on one handset. Each player will assume the role of an in-game character. Player one will make a play, then receive instructions to PASS the handset to Player two.

Q: Who or What is my avatar?

A: Your avatar is simply one of the in-game characters. You can between 2 of the assigned characters to play.

Q: If I'm looking at a Character on the screen, then who am I?

A: You would be the other character. Your opponent would be the character you see on the screen.
